If you have a livejournal made before this year, here’s why it would be cool and fun and important for you to vote for Sansa: while Fandom March Madness is only for kicks, it does reflect current attitudes. Having a character like Sansa make it even one more round would show that no, the internet is not foolish enough to believe that there’s “nothing special about surviving.” She’s up against another wonderful redhead whom I’m sure many of us love dearly, but where Donna had a voice (a very powerful one at that) and was told innumerable times how important she was— Sansa was betrayed, made to watch her family slowly die around her, left at the mercy of one abuser after another but still managed to hope and make the best of what little she’s given. To keep quiet when she knew silence would better serve her, or take a chance and play the game as she’s been taught. AND ALL BEFORE THE AGE OF 15. Let’s not even mention the fact that most of her own fandom thinks her misfortune is her fault and what she deserves.

ENOUGH BLAMING THE VICTIM. ENOUGH SAYING A GIRL WHO DOESN’T RUSH AT PROBLEMS HEAD ON IS WORTHLESS. VOTE FOR SANSA STARK (Donna won’t mind).
